Qaxwo (Somali Coffee) and Somali Sweets

Somali Butter Cake
Halwa
Somali Cookies
Aana Baraawe (Somali Fudge)


Qaxwo

1 1/2 c. water
1 c. milk
2 ts. Somali coffee
1 Tbsp. sugar


1. Heat the water and the milk in a kettle.
2. Bring to a boil and add the sugar and coffee.
3. Reduce heat and continue to boil for 5 minutes.

    you have seriously excelled in learning Somali culture and our delicacy and cuisines.
    a lot of people will benefit from your very helpful blog, the younger generation are forgetting their roots and are dependent on Somali restaurants to deliver Somali food. I think this blog is a major step in the right direction.
