2 eggs, well beaten
2 cups flour
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup chopped peaches (I used canned peaches. Make sure to drain well!)
1. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and beat thoroughly.
2. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with the milk.
3. Fold in peaches, lemon juice and vanilla.
4. Drop by teaspoonfuls into oil and fry until golden brown.
5. Serve with whipped cream or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
